Who you’ll be working for:

This organisation is an independent, employee-owned company which develops and markets products for urology and ostomy care. With a range of products which include two very strong and well-placed global brands, they have been helping patients for nearly 100 years. A strongly principled organisation who value integrity, strong customer focus and respect.

What you’ll enjoy:

  • Private, employee owned company which means they can make decisions which are best for the patient and their customer and not for shareholders.
  • Excellent products, with strong clinical evidence and health economic data to support them.
  • Superb working culture, where employees are genuinely valued and cared about, as evidenced by their low staff turnover.
  • They don't just talk about their cultural beliefs they live them.
  • Very structured training plan which takes place over a 6 -9 month period. Everything is covered from product training to sales and cultural beliefs training. Everyone new to the company is also appointed a peer mentor to support them.

What you’ll be doing:

  • This is a varied sales role, which will involve dealing with a wide variety of call points within secondary care.
  • As potential patients may be suffering from a range of illness including cancer, MS and spinal injuries, you will embed yourself in the trusts and work through a number of departments in the hospitals dealing with customers such as urologists, urology nurse specialists, continence care nurses, neurologists and spinal injuries staff.
  • There is likely to be some contact with primary care stakeholders as the patient pathway from secondary care out into the community is set up and this may involve you liaising with non-clinical stakeholders such as clinical procurement personnel and urology service managers as well as meds management.
  • You will work closely with your home delivery partner to set up new patient registrations for patients using ISC products on discharge from hospitals.
  • As patients need to be shown how to use the products themselves, you will also be responsible for training clinical staff to enable them to do this, and as such the role may sometimes be patient facing.

Here’s what you need:

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent you will have a minimum of three to five years' medical sales experience and understand the purchasing landscape of the NHS.
  • You'll understand account management and be comfortable engaging with a range of stakeholders which will include both clinical contacts and non-clinical stakeholders such as procurement and contacts within NDC.
  • With excellent interpersonal skills, you'll be a strong communicator and be able to build strong relationships with your customers.
  • Driven to succeed with a burning desire for results, you'll have demonstrable sales success in your previous roles.
  • You will be honest and ethical and able to deliver exactly what you say you are going to do, without doing so at the expense of others

Bonus points if you have:

  • Experience of selling premium products and/or experience of getting products onto formulary.

Basic salary: £40,000 to £53,000 depending on experience

Bonus: £14k OT with yearend overage (one rep earned £30k for 2022)

Car policy: car, no allowance
