Location: London and South East (most of accounts in London, some flexibility with where candidate can be based)

Product: Ophthalmic Surgery - IOLs, Tension Rings, IPCLs (Implantable Phakic Contact Lens), Microsurgery Knives, Ophthalmic Microsurgical Instruments, Ophthalmic Cannula and Procedure packs

Who you’ll be working for: 

A leading UK ophthalmic provider known for its superior quality and unrelenting passion in advancing ophthalmic technology, is looking for a talented individual to join its team in London and South East. The company offers the precision products needed to treat impaired vision and diseases of the eye, expertly balancing diagnostic and surgical.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Working for one of the UK’s leading suppliers of the finest surgical and diagnostic products, your job will be to effectively increase sales volume and revenue through medical device product sales year on year, whilst maintaining strong customer relations and increasing market share.
  • You'll do this by presenting the company products and services to clinicians, theatre / department managers and nursing staff using clinical data.
  • You'll also educate customers in the product features and benefits, clinical use of products and new technologies, and spend time in theatre supporting this education.
  • You'll participate in study days, exhibitions and workshops on-territory and nationally as required. Infrequent overseas travel might be required.

Stakeholders/Selling to: Theatre - Ophthalmic Surgeons, Specialist Nurses, ODPs and procurement.

Here’s what you need:

  • You'll need to have previous experience of selling into the NHS, preferably into a theatre setting and if you've sold ophthalmic products in a current or previous role that would be a definite advantage!
  • You'll have an understanding of purchasing pathways within the NHS and private sector, and the ability to influence and negotiate with all clinical and purchasing stakeholders within those settings. Solution-driven with a patient-centric approach to doing business you'll have consultative value-based selling skills and be comfortable with a procedure-based sales approach.
  • Ultimately cultural fit is the most important thing though. You'll need to be a self-starter and able to work autonomously. A good team player, a collaborative approach to working and excellent relationship building skills will help you thrive in the company.

Basic Salary £45,000 - £55,000

Bonus: £12,000 on target + additional commission payments

Car policy: Company car (possible allowance if move onto company scheme after lease ends) car example - Tesla (only £60 monthly tax) also some diesel/petrol options
