What you’ll be doing:
The Business Development Associate will have responsibility for supporting and executing the commercial strategy and tactical plans to expand the number of surgical day case units within the United Kingdom. The position will be predominantly field based, with duties that include identification, engagement, and partnership creation with clinicians across varied specialties, development of business plans linked between clinical activity, revenue, and investment to ultimately create Doctor Group Partnerships to build new day case units.
- This is a newly created role in the Business Development team to support UK expansion plans.
- Focus areas will be split between Oxford, West Midlands and Manchester.
- You will initially work alongside the Business Development Director on current projects, with the aim to be self-sufficient within 6-12 months on the projects alongside the other two Business Development Managers.
- There will be some expectation to be in London, especially during first 3 months for training, however beyond this will be a home work / field-based role.
- There will be an expectation to be flexible with working times, as often meetings are in the evenings, and some nights away may be required to support the activity depending on location.
Here’s what you need:
- Ideally you will have come from a clinical background and moved into medtech sales.
- Skills in relationships building, networking, communication, relationship management and sales pipeline development.
- You will be target focused and be willing to travel. Having an existing network of contacts within the region would be advantageous.
- You must have knowledge of the public and private healthcare system and a basic understanding for business development, e.g. revenue, profitability, etc.
- This would suit a go-getter who thrives on new business development.
Bonus points if you have: A clinical background
Salary: £50,000 - £60,000
Bonus: Annual 20-30% bonus split between cash and equity
